Some nights, the body is already in bed while the mind is still somewhere in the middle of the day.
Nothing urgently needs to be done, yet sleep has not arrived. We check the phone, change positions, and wait for our thoughts to become quieter. What shapes the night is often not the moment the lights go out, but the way we spend the transition leading up to it.
A comfortable nighttime routine does not need to be complicated. Dim the lights, put the phone aside, and find a position that allows the body to recognize that the day is ending. Sometimes we do not need more information. We need a simple signal that it is time to slow down.
